advice?

i currently have 2 12" subs in a big box that weighs around 100lbs and no trunk room. id like to go to 1 15" sub that doesnt take up much room and sounds as good as my current setup. anybody know what sub/box i should go with?

Id go for a kicker solo baric (L3 or L7) and they have vented ported boxes for like 50 bucks somewhere. that should take up like a corner of the trunk space and your car will most likely hit harder than those 2 12''s. If kicker is too much for your spending you can dummy it down to a P1 (Punch) or a decent Pioneer or W7 with the same ported box as the L7 just have to get a round one. The solo barics are square. Find a p5 that had the spare tire sub. They have a raised rear deck, and the spare itself sits on a big foam block. All you need is the deck...cut hole over spare, recess sub about an inch or so (If you can clear your magnet on the spare depending how deep your cage is) and either put a grill over the hole or put a drilled piece of plexiglass there and carpet the edges and the deck itself...bam...floor mount sub.
