Advanced Key Doesn't Work When Remote Start (Aftermarket) is Activated?

Hey guys,

I just had an aftermarket remote start installed on my 2015 CX-5 and it seems that every time the car is remote started, the exterior unlock button on the door handle does not work. I have to dig my aftermarket keyfob out and unlock it using the button on the fob. Even the Mazda fob buttons don't work.

Do you guys have similar experiences, or was my install incorrectly performed?

My remote starter is the Automate 4214A if that makes any difference.

Standard operation. If you start your car normally the remotes also will not work. (as well as the door handles)

I do automotive electrical work for a living and there currently isn't a work around. (It's a pet peeve of my wife as well. Hates having to fish the remotes out of her purse after remote starting the car)

On some vehicles the interface module used for the remote start will override that standard factory feature and still allow use of the OEM components. Either it is not do-able in our vehicles, or they have not cracked the factory TX-RX info to make it happen.
It might be available later on when newer software updates are available.
