Adding mods, but in what order?

I can vouch for the AWR, it's a great piece. I don't think I've ever seen anyone complain about it either, and at half the price and doing the same thing, I believe in function over form. I have the 88 duro, but the 70 will work as well.

Corksport makes great equipment. I think you would be very happy with one of their tower braces.

Oh man, I wish everyone would say the same thing, I'm having enough trouble making up my mind as it is.

Can someone explain the difference between the 70 and 88 Duro in terms of feel/effect? I appreciate that the 70 is softer and the 88 is stiffer, is this in terms of ride quality, like with firmer, lower springs, etc. This would be a concern, because I'm on 215/35 19's with H&R's and, whilst the ride quality is not bad during normal driving, you really notice things like pot holes, which feel like there are no tyres at all. I have the same concern with the strut brace to some extent, will making the front stiffer make the ride firmer?

The strut tower brace should not adversely affect your ride quality.

As for an engine mount, the ride quality isn't really changed. What you will notice is that there will be some minor vibrations at idle. You will notice slightly rougher vibrations at idle with an 88 durometer mount than you would with a 70 durometer mount.

OK, that's reassuring. I think I will drop Ken a PM. If I find out after all this that he doesn't export, I guess I'll be back to square one.

Thanks again everyone.

I have experience with both the AWR 88 and 70 durometer mounts and am very happy with the 70 that I am currently running. With the 70 durometer mount you only feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel with the AC on when at idle, but it is completely overtaken by road feel when your driving, with the AC off I wasn't able to tell the difference between stock and the 70 durometer at idle.

While I never installed an AWR 88 durometer mount on my own car I did have the opportunity to drive one with it installed as the only mod. With the AC off at idle you can feel slightly more vibration than you feel with a 70 and the AC on, nothing too intrusive though and it was undetectable while driving. With the AC on the vibration was noticeably increased over the 70 durometer at idle (but I didn't hear any of the rattling sounds some have complained about) and you could slightly detect it while driving if you were looking for it. It wasn't anything that decreased the driving experience, just didn't fit my personal preference. If I was planing to autocross my car on a regular basis I would probably switch over to an 88 durometer mount, but since it's my daily driver/toy I prefer the versatility of the 70 durometer mount.

I recommend adding one of the AWR mounts, whichever density you prefer, to your order if you are looking to put together a package with Ken over at PG since it's money well spent. It's really a small price to pay for such a huge difference in feel and improvement in power delivery.

I've just ordered:-

PG Full Length Intake (Larger K&N Filter + Powder Coated Black)
AWR Read Engine Mount (88 Durometer)
Corksport Strut Tower Brace

Oops, I think I may have exceeded my planned budget a little.

Thanks everyone for helping me with the decision making process.

Including freight it will be over double the high end of my initial budget. If I do my usual cop out and get the garage to install everything, it will probably be over three times. I never was very good at setting myself limits.

All of those things you can install yourself. Don't spend the extra cash when much of that is easy to do.

I was actually planning to have a go myself, I certainly don't want to spend money that I don't have to, especially when it could go on or towards the next mod.
