Please excuse my idiocy. I just bought a used Mazda3 - when I checked the oil I thought it was low and I added about 2/3 of a quart before I realized that I wasn't reading the dipstick properly and it was already to the full line to start with. I guess the oil must have been changed recently because it was too clear to see. I tried to jack up the car and remove the drain plug to get some out, but it seems to have been torqued down by the Hand of God or something, and my wrench is too wimpy to remove it.
Is it unsafe to start the engine now with 2/3 of a quart over and drive it down the street to have the mechanic do it?
