AccessTUNER Race Discussion Thread

So is this just a download or a completely different accessport? I really need a better tune than stock. Im running to rich.

Hey guys, any updates on this?
i'm looking at getting some type of ecu and this looks very interesting. i've been reading on the AP this afternoon and i like what i'm seeing. Now that's it's been a couple of months, anything you guys have to add? How's it been working for you

I have a few issues with my car that i am pretty sure this would fix. Like the noise/hesitation/smoke described in this thread http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123740481 and i'm thinking that limiting boost in low rpm, making not drop at higher RPM and fixing the WOT would make the car much more enjoyable on top of a better designed map in general

thanks!

Very little info and seems to be too many simple problems with this product. (Can't even install it on a Windows platform, what will it do to your computer then? I wouldn't trust the programmers). I personaly don't trust it.

I'm waiting for this but of course let's see how well this works out after the beta run. You can email them and ask to be a beta tester if you are interested and let us know how the product works.

I'll chime in. First off, this program does require some knowledge before you go crazy with it. Right now, most people are using ATR to set up your launch control and flat foot shifting, which is a very simple thing to do. Others have adjusted their idle speed, so that if you have a motor mount or TMIC, the vibration isn't as bad.

If you take the time to read the book, or at least the first portion of this, you'll find some other tools to help improve the way the car runs. Calibrating the MAF sensor is another common activity, and it improves the fuel trims and helps calibrate your car to your particular location.

In short, you really don't need to use this at all, you can run with the maps Cobb is providing, but if you want to take it to the next level, this is the way to do so.

Are you saying that AccessTUNER Race cannot be installed on a Windows computer? If so, that is not correct. If not, then I apologize for misunderstanding.

You can install it on 32-bit systems. XP 32 bit is the best, but if you must, Vista will also work.

What does it run on if it doesn't like windows? I am more than comfortable with running any operating system on a laptop to do this if i have to.

So i take it it's not super easy to use, but it does work. I have no problem with putting the time to RTM if it's going to work. I went through ALOT of tuning with my previous car with the MPI tuner and had looked at the others that were available for the Protege at the time (microtech, and i can't remember the name of the other similar one).

i've been away from this world for wayyyy too long. i don't know what's going on anymore...it's been like 2 years

If you read the manual, you can learn alot. Not saying that you'll be all set to make major changes, but it's a start.

so i take it windows7 64bit might not work lol

I read in some of the other posts that it works using a VM so i'll most likely do that or take an older laptop and just put xp32 on it
