AccessPORT & AccessTUNER Updates for MS3 and MS6

I installed the v104 map tonight, thanks to a good friend who knows how to use ATR. We added LC and FFS to the 93 octane + SF intake v104 map.

This map works great. So does LC and FFS features. I used the following settings: LC 3000 RPM, FFS 5000 RPM, 10 MPH Speed Limiter, 4 MPH Hypertesis.

Flat foot shifts through all gears feel quicker than before, and the LC works well. I am definatley going to try a higher RPM for LC eventually, but for now, 3000 RPM works fine. With the DSC on, and letting the clutch out smoothly, I had a launch with a tiny slip off the line, but it felt like the best launch I have ever had.

With DSC on? I might have to give that a try. I used the same settings with DSC off and spun the wheels like crazy. I always turn it off every time I get in the car.

My best times at the track have been with the DSC on. I feel like it rarley cuts power so much that you feel it, and only does so when you would be spinning tires anyhow. Obviously for people who do burnouts, have drag radials or slicks, or have traction mods, DSC off is the way to go. People will say modulate the throttle, or you loose too much power, blah blah, but I swear by DSC off.

okay couple observations. i plugged in the numbers that Bravnik mentioned. When im in nuetral I get redline. In first LC in-gauges. In second it engages, and I even noticed in reverse it engages as well. Idk about sitting still in putting the car in 3rd 4th 5th and 6th that it en-gauges but 1st 2nd and reverse do. Any ideas?

does in-guages = engages?

It's because you are less than the vehicle speed you have input. LC will not turn off until you exceed that speed. (If I understand your question right that is).

Loaded this up over the weekend but didn't have time until last night to play around with it and I must say, LC works pretty good! I didn't get a chance to stretch it out and give FFS a try but did verify that it was working.

Here are my settings:

FFS Limit: 5000
LC Limit: 3000
Speed Limit: 15
Speed Hysteresis: 4 (default value)

I only tried a couple of launches but it did seem like I got a bit more wheelspin than I liked so I might lower the LC RPM to 2,800 and also lower the speed hysteresis to 3 or even 2 to see how that might affect the launches.

Speed Hysteresis does not affect launches. You hit 155 and it slows you down by that number before letting you go faster again.

Ah, but your speed limiter is no longer 155. It`s set at whatever LC speed limit you input. I`m not certain but I think this setting will allow you to fine tune your LC by indicating how much you want the car`s speed to drop before the ECU gives you back throttle control.

its a rev limiter....if you set your speed limiter to lets say 70 you wont break whatever rpm you set your lc at until you hit 70 mph.

So my speed limit is now 10? Haha I don't think so. I hit 80 while FFS yesterday.

as far as the lc goes you def need to play with the speed limiter. i have mine on 10 mph right now and WOH MAN HOLY WHEEL SPIN BATMAN! with 1st gear boosted at 8psi and 2900rpm, dump the clutch and nothing but wheel spin. although, bravnik....i have to ask you a q via pm about the atr...

I've been fiddling with LC as well and noticed that a lower VSL and a higher VSL doesn't make that much of a difference. The difference is still in the driver with this car. If you floor it and/or are not smooth, you'll easily spin the tires and exceed the VSL and LC is effectively off at that point. You don't have to feather it like before without LC but if anything, a lower VSL is better for daily driving because it can be a bit annoying if you unknowingly take off a bit spirited and hit the LC limiter (happened to me a couple of times while my VSL was set to 15). I'm going to lower the LC rev limit to 2,800 and VSL to 8 and see how that works.

The LC speed limit is the speed at which launch control shuts off. So if you set your LC speed limit to 155, everytime you clutch in, LC will turn on, get it? So set your LC speed limit to like 10mph so that on that 1-2 upshift, you are not hitting a 3,300RPM rev limit or whatever your LC is set to.

travis...i know cars vary from one to another especially with modification. now my question is generic and hope for the best.

i have quite a few mods and am not sure where to set the LC vs. speedlimiter. I set LC at 2700 because it gives me the best launch with very little wheel spin. I have my speed limiter set to something like....12 or 13 mph. with the LC it seems that with the boost spooled up and launching at 2700 rpm once i get past the LC speedlimiter it revs out of control. im assuming i should feather the clutch out of the LC or should i be setting the LC and speed limiter differently? Its obviously not an AWD so theres no dump clutch and go....i dont know if i had a specific question....more advise i guess. thanks.

Without being there to see what is going on I have two theories. One, it's the tire breaking loose. Two it's the clutch breaking loose. If the engine just starts free-revving while you are in gear and the the clutch is engaged, something is not right.
