Acceleration Roll & Pull

Yep, I'm new the to the MSP, great car! I just bought a titanium 03.5 with 76k on it. It runs good, but it rolls and pulls to the right under acceleration. Has anyone else experienced this? I've heard and read that the MSP handles exceptionaly well so this "roll" doesn't seem right.

Most people will align the car to veer off to the right a little incase you fall asleep at the wheel you will bump the curb or go off road instead of into oncoming traffic.

The pull you feel is called torque steer and its something all FWD cars have, especialy the higher powered ones.

Yea, it has just a little "normal" right pull. But acceleration causes the front right to drop (or left front to rise?) and pull noticably to the right. It seems excessive, thought there may be issues with a front sway bar, bushings, or something.

why would a sway bar or sway bar bushings cause your front end to rise under acceleration?!?

It's called torque steer...you give it gas and it wants to turn the steering wheel out of your hands....the only other reason you might have the front end lifting is because your rear motor mount is bad...common MSP problem...replace motors mounts

Duno, thought if they were loose (bushings, etc) then they wouldn't do their job to pull the front left down.

With the motor mounted sideways, a broken mount shouldn't cause the car to roll side ways?

get an alignment, if you arent laying into it from a dead stop you arent going to have torque steer.
also check your tires and air pressure, and make sure your brakes arent dragging on the right side....

Not so.. My msp didnt pull either way when I got on it no matter what gear I was in..

^ same here. i dont know what mazda was thinking when they made these cars, no one is exactly the same. they are very fussy little bastards. good luck.

The first MSP I test drove wanted to yank the wheel out of my hand, but my beautiful Ti MSP I ended up buying is a tamer beast.

torque steer / FWD in general FTL..

A torque biasing LSD can just about eliminate torque steer (big surprise, right?). Close enough to gone that you need to measure it with a computer. Yup, that’s the kind Quaife makes.
