AC Question

Guys,

If you stop at a light for more than say 30 seconds with the AC running (in recirc. mode and a day >90 deg. F) does you AC still pump cold air or do you see a noticeable drop off in temperature coming out of the ducts. I am just checking because mine tends to drop off and will not get back cold again until I get the engine revving past idle. What about when you initially get in the car and are idling. Will your AC pump cold air even if you are idling? Mine doesn't.

I am trying to figure out is something is wrong with my AC.

Hey, sounds normal, well at least for my current cars, not a cx5 owner just yet,

It's just the fan speed slowing down to idle speed of the engine, temp wise it should be the same, however sitting in the hot sun might seem like the AC isn't performing properly, doesn't hurt to mention it to the dealer when it's next in for service

Put a thermometer in the dash vent and compare the difference. Mine seems to cool just fine while idling.
