AC Model Number

I understand that a new redesigned compressor is now available for 2007 models that have a failure of the original compressor. Does anyone have the manufactures NEW part number? One does not want to get the old designed one as a replacement. Thank you. Ed

We have not had a problem yet but I am concerned about this. Did you get the new one? Does it work better than the old one? Seems like the old one is not very strong at all. Complained about it many times to dealer and they said it is normal.

I've had no problems at all with my AC at 35.000 miles. According to CU it appears the 07 CX7s have a 1-3% failure rate of all AC/heating problems so that is still a small but unacceptable percentage. I just want to do some homework in case I do have a compressor problem. YES the AC could be strong but, learned a few tricks to make it livable-like keeping recir on, blowing hot air out buy opening window first and if Park I use a sun shield.
