wat does it mean when your e brake light and abs light come on. heres the thing i've only owned the car for 3 months i bought it off a guy that coudnt afford to change the rotors cuz 1 was warped so i did. the lights came on before i did this so i thought it was cuz one was warped, now there new rotoras w hawk pads but the lights still come on. make sense?? (dunno)

mine just came on as well....both ABS light and parking brake light at the same time.....i thought i might be low on rear brake pads causing this to occur but i checked today and have at least 40-50%

now i'm assuming it's a dirty abs sensor....however the parking brake light is still throwing me off.......

did you have any luck with what caused this?

ABS/Ebrake Light/ABS problem

I'm having the issue too. The lights aren't always on for me, and when they aren't, I get ABS kicking in when it shouldn't, causing eratic and reduced braking...I have so far been able to slam my foot through the ABS to get some braking power, which then turns the lights on and shuts down ABS (so I can lock my wheels (lol2) ) Next time i turn my car on, problem starts all over

I'm thinking I may want to just disconnect/remove ABS for good, although it does prove useful in the winter...Anyone know what the problem is here, or have suggestions on removing ABS?

Bump for some answers.

How can you tell which sensor is dirty or gone bad? This too is a problem I have and I just want to be able to get to the route of it for future reference.

someone's got to have had this exact problem and resolved it.........my msp's outta insurance right now otherwise i would've replaced the rear brakes by now to see if it resolved the problem.....

I think you need to get a code read to see which one it is. Other than that, just replace all 4. Chances are another will go very soon.

I had the abs and ebrake light on, took it to the dealer, turned out it was the abs/speed sensor that was shot. luckily it was on warrenty

Both of my rears did this in sep years, and the bolts like to break off in the rust belt, forcing a drill/tap.

We are not alone....

i dont have an msp but i got the abs light too. i checked and got codes 13 46 & 47 today
