so i've been reading up on manual transmissions to learn how they work after seeing parts of one in Focus' garage. I read the article on how stuff works and i get the basics but i'm having a hard time identifying the different parts on an actual picture of our transmission. i'd really appreciate it if someone can point out the different parts on a picture, like which gear is which (i only see 4 ?!) and things like the collars that engage/disengage the gears?
