CX-5
Currently have a 2014 CX-5 manual which I love. Hopefully it'll last me a long time. Kills me no more manuals in the US. Does anyone know can one buy a manual CX-5 in Canada and then legally import it into the US? I know I wouldn't have a warranty but curious is this even an option. Hopefully we'll see a return in the US at some point, but guessing not.

It seems that you can. The big deal is you need to get A Compliance Letter by contacting Mazda. If Mazda will send you this letter stating that your car (by Vin number) meets US safety standards. the rest is pretty straight forward. Paper work at the dealer, paper work at the border and paperwork at your states DMV and of coarse taxes in the state you bring it into.

That is what I thought, thanks. Again hopefully I can get many more years out of my current cx5. And for sure won't buy until skyactiv-x is a few years in. A manual mazda3 hatch might be my plan b.
