A quick get together in Jan

hope the holiday shopping is going well for you
I have been in the mall couple of times in the last few days
and i have to say, people eat each other there for clothes, games, and general stuff.

Anyways, so, as the title say, i am thinking about a samll get together. No, nothing as MJM. No food or drinks or raffles.
this will be in the summer, hopefully

I am looking at 2 weekends.
the weekend of Jan right after the new year day
jan 3-4(sat-sun)
jan 10-11 (sat sun)

I really don't know where you guys would like to have that meet at. i am out of ideas and with the type of weather now. I want someplace indoors. how about a bowling alley meet. I have a couple good ones around the burke area. they have the midnight thingy, and for good prices. if you guys up for that, let me know and i could begin to arrange it.

This is how to get approval for a GTG at reston town center

After the security guards and the police came up and asked us to leave, I went over and talked with them and the Marketing Director about seeing if we can work something out to have GTGs there once a month.

The security guards were genuine when they said they respect the fact that we are well behaved and don't cause problems like some "other" groups (I think he was alluding to Honda's ).

So, what they will do for us is allow me to fill out a form stating when and why we need the property, and then they won't kick us out anymore when we go there. This doesn't seem as if it will be a problem, and she even said they would close off a parking lot for us so that only we would be allowed in, which is a big perk, and then the security won't bother us either.

I will pick up this form from her next week, and she said most likely it will get approved by "corporate". Best of all, it is free. However, if this does go through, we will have to be VERY careful how we drive entering and leaving the mall, as we need to keep a good impression.

Not sure where this is, I used to hangout every weekend at Reston Town Centre and the intersection of I66 and 7100 is several miles away from the Town Centre.

there is one right beside me - Bowel America
there is other ones around the area, that I have been too, and they are very nice. If we choose that option, I will get the best one and tell you what it is

Amber, I just bumped the Medieval Times post, but that is for the 2nd weekend in Jan. if we want to do that.

Iceskating or rollerskating? I do roller every week, but haven't iceskated in at least a year. If I recall correctly, it's usually about $4 to get into a rollerrink and another $2 or so to rent skates. Iceskating, is a bit more, about $6-8 to get in and about $2-3 to rent skates.
