Hey everyone,
Just thought I'd share a few pics of my car. I have been working over the past few weeks on some DIY projects - painting the black strip on the front grill and flying M, and painting the rear badges and the chrome piece above the liscence plate. I think it's coming along quite nicely. In the spring it will be lowered, and of course the winter steelies will be switched to my summer wheels.

Here's the front grill:

And the rear:

PS - save the altezza comments - I like 'em

why not shave the badges since you painted em blue they just kinda blend in? its more money but is that the idea your going for or no? what kinda suspension setup you doing when you lower it?

I'm going to lower it on Canuck Motorsports springs - 1.3" drop in the front, and 1.6" drop in the rear. I thought about shaving the badges, and i imagine I will one day - but this was a quick and cheap alternative for now.

no offense, but painting the emblems body color makes it look like one of those $99 paint jobs where they do no prep work to the car

Yes, someday the Mazda lip kit will be on her - but due to $$ constraints, that someday is a ways off!!

That's sorta the look I went with on mine. Painted the top bar on the grill body color but I painted all my emblems black.

I like it. The emblems on the back look like they're molded into the trunk. It's different and I think it looks kinda cool. Good luck with the lowering and keep up the good work!

don't like the lights,
REALLY like the painting of the emblems .. I can't ever remember my tag number, so if i remove the emblems, it would be hard for the city to locate it after it gets towed (i get a few parking tickets sometimes)

GET THE LIP ON IT.
