Visited my local Acura dealer.
Before I get flamed here I should mention my familiy has aquired more then 10 cars from teh same salemen down there so we get a little hook up, no BS and a great car.
I have been thinking of leasing a new car to lower my monthly payment by atleast $50 as I am getting a place of my own shorty and the extra cash will come in handy. So I took some Acuras out for a drive.

Apon entering the dealer I was stopped dead in my tracks by the new black TSX with a full body kit. I HAD TO DRIVE THIS CAR. A 6spd with no Navigation is $26,000 allougth thr lease will be near $400 a month so i won't save any money. Won't spend any more either.

The TSX had some ballz and could definitly get out of its own way but its size on a small engine was obvious. This car has simply the best transmission I have ever used. No notches catching or BS at all, perfectly smooth and percise, also a very short shift.
Already with 17" wheels the TSX handled very well and I got on that b****. Overall the car could use a little more power for my taste but was on par with my turbo MP3. I love this car and if I could get it for $350 a month I would.

Next up was the RSX typeS and the salesman decided he had enough of my driving and let me take it out alone.
First thing I noticed is this car has more room for the driver then the integra did, I had an integra, and was much more refined. The integra was fun but was nothing compared to the RSX typeS.
The only down side to the RSX is it is small for my likes, not my stlye on the exterior and the first to 2nd shift grinds.
However the RSX has one thing like no other car I have ever been in has. It screams drive me! It begs you to floor it and take the next corner to only luanch out of it and climb through the gears fast. Great acceleration easily better then the MSP or my car. You just can't be squimish about pushing 7000 RPMS.
The RSX was a great little car and a s*** load of fun!

Next up was the TL and this I will keep short. My dad has a CL type S so I have a good comparison there. The regular TL has a terrible suspension a u-turn makes you feel like your face will scrape the pavement it leans so damn much. My mothers Jaguar Type S is stiffer. The power was impressive thoug. It screws from 70-100. Actualy, its not much slower then the CL TypeS.

The TL is no longer being considered but the TL typeS is the front runner for me. I am getting a little less loving toward handling numbers at the expense of my kidneys. A slightly less agressive ride with more power is what I am gunning for. Heated seats are nice too. :D

In conclusion if you want to give me $14K for my MP3 let me know so I can go get my TL type S.

So the TSX is dope just like I thought it would be. Has anyone had the chance to take a look at the JDM versions of the TSX. It's the Accord overseas and in Europe. That damn thing has some potential. Too bad it's a bit underpowered though, but the price isn't too bad.

nice nice, i think we could all use a little extra money (did someone say they are giving away big game tickets? ;) i wish

emmmm $300million emmm...

hmm, maybe it'll get that high this summer! :D

As the salesmne mentioned it is totaly built in japan, always a plus. But I did not have the connection with it I did with the RSX! The RSX I was able to get in and GO!. Nothing to lears, very intuitive and a great performer. The TSXs only real probem is the cluth pedal. Its set way to high. You don't push in you have to almost push down and its not as smooth of a clutch as the RSX however Its transmission is even better. Obviously it doesnt handle or accelerate quite as well but its not bad either.

If Acura was being reasonable on the TSX lease price I would have order one after driving it as I just don't know where I stand on the RSX looks and small size. However since I can get a Tl type S for the same monthy payment as the TSX I can't convince myself the car is worth it.

I also forgot to mention the TSX dash lights were great. Always iluminated and looked awsome.

i miss my RSX. as far as size, the small back seats kept me from having to drive to lunch every day like i have to now. :) but i was able to bring home my whole bedroom set from ikea in it...love those hatches!

7000 rpm? wuss. the proper technique is to shift at 8000! ;)

it seems like about 1/2 the RSX-S owners have grinding problems. i never did, and the gearbox was easily the best i have ever used. also, my car kept getting quicker thru 10,000 miles (or it seemed like it).

crappy, crappy tires, though. ugh.

I know I am never even go over 5000 in my MP3, I don't feel safe doing it even though thats where the power is.
I am such a shifting pussy.

Why did you get rid of it so soon?

$490 per month != saving for law school.

went back to driving my 220,000 mile '90 Protege for a few months (yeah, it was tough!), then hopped into my ES w/ the 0% financing for 60 months. saving an extra $200/month now.

edit: sometimes maturity sucks. :p

:)
