If you've been wanting to know a littl ebit more about Mazda, I've written a couple of articles about the car company. The first one here starts in the beginning and ends at 1979...

The second article covers Mazda form where the first one leaves oof up to 1989...

The last one will go up later and will bring us up to the present. Read and enjoy. Or not. Whatever...

Thanks...It's not my site, I have been writing a few things for them to get experience/clips. Most of the pics are off the of the Japanese Press Server for Mazda.

Its a cool site. Now it just has to take off.

I've also been writign things up about my. I'm funding my own project car for the site, and going into debt...(crazy)

Yep...I also like how each emblem Mazda has used has some tie in with the Zoroastrian god, Ahura Mazda.

Mazda has done a very good job at keeping the image they wanted from the get go.

Really? I hope that someday you will write an article that delves further into the signifigance of each Mazda logo.

Yeah, I can do that. The one most people wonder about is the candle emblem on the early 90s Mazdas.

But each emblem has some significance.

Yeah, I read on an MX-3 site that the flame emblem was changed in the early 90's because of the fact that it too closely resembled the Renault (I believe) emblem. I thought that was an interesting little bit of Mazda trivia.

I had read that the candle was supposed to be a huge tie into the religion (Zoroastrians direct their prayers towards a lighted candle) and companies philosphy, but that fact was lost on just about every American. So they bailed on it for the current Flying "M" design.
