A good header and air intake for MP5

x2....be patient and browse the f/s forum for a used exhaust/intake/header. I bought my AEM SRI for $60ish and just sold a brand new Ractive header that I had sitting in my basement for almost a year.

Start a WTB thread as well....some people have the parts laying around they just never start a f/s thread.

Ok well I'd rather not spend $500+ on an exhaust, so any other cheap but still good exhaust?

do what i did, source everything used

I got:

$60- Ractive header
$40- Injen CAI (with K&N filter)
$80- Magnaflow catback


Just gotta keep your eyes on craigslist and the FS threads here

Minus my new engine and paint for were my spoiler use to be (yes im going for shaved spoiler look), I calculated roughly that ill have about $550 for mods

and you've got an auto or 5 spd? Cause, one mod I would say you MUST do if you have a 5 spd, get the reflashed MP3 ECU!!

I say do that before any of the other mods!

then let your first mod be an MP3 spec flashed ECU

not a huge HP adder, but, the RPM band loses all the dips along teh way and just pulls smooth up to redline

Then i'd look into a header, intake, and catback

buy an ECU off him and he ships you a reflashed ECU, then, you ship him yours and he refunds you the core charge

I've done business with em and i have no complaints

and just keep your eyes peeled and search around you in craigslist too for parts.

That's how i got the Magnaflow and 2 intakes (one for each car)

of all the parts on my car, i think the gauges and misc gauges parts are the only things i havn't bought used in the FS section

ya well I have plenty of time to search, and im not gonna rush to find mods til I actually have an engine to comply with them lol
