T is for Turbo

2003 Black Mica MSP #566
#1. will removing my exhaust resonators void any part of my warranty?
#2. will a cold air intake do anything to my warranty?
#3. anyone elses brake "wobble" braking even slightly from speeds above 90mph?
#4. anyone else having problems with there tranny's after they've been driven for a hour or more?

any help is appreciated before i go to mazda next week about my tranny.

#1 no, unless this specificaly causes dammage
#2 no, same as above
#3 yes, its probably abs, or the fact that the brakes are not really designed for those speeds
#4 some yes some no, the shift forks have been proven as being weak

hey txmazdaspeeder...i have the same thing w/my brakes applying them after coming off of a run of like doing over a hundred...not sure whut it is but i have the wobble like shaking the steering wheel kinda bad...i just recently got new brakes put on and well...im having better results...not to say ur brakes need to be changed but maybe a bit worn down some...just a thought tho...thats whut i have come up w/why mine used to do it tho.

i wouldn't think the rotors would be warped at only 23k miles

Normally NO...they wouldn't....but if you abuse anthing enough, as in lots of really hard breaking, they could be.

the MP3 doesn't have ABS as you stated....and if you are getting that sort of vibration/wheel shake when breaking....I would take my wheels off and verify that everything is nice and tight...no lose calipers or anything...even check your lug nuts....Check the condition of the brake pads, and if that is all good, I would check the rotors next, as that is what the symptoms are of.

very well said nuke:D
i would like to add that even if the car had only 100 miles on it it can have warped rotors. either thru manufacture defect or because of driving habits.
you would be amazed at the amout of aftermarket rotors that i turn before install on the car to make sure they are true.
secondly any two or three runs from 100mph to 0 with the stock brakes CAN (but not always) warp a rotor excessivly to cause a condition unwanted at any speed

Maybe the warranty on your exhaust. And even that is debateable.

#2. will a cold air intake do anything to my warranty?

If your dealer is anal, he'll try to void your engine warranty, but he'll never get away with it if you fight him.

Yes.

got the drilled and slotteds on order, wooohoo, and i have a feeling the dealer wont say anyhting because of the cold air, they already know im gonna put up a fight cuz im gonna ahve to get my tranny replaced and my dads basically told them if they dont cover it somebodys ass is grass.
