A Few Questions

I'm thinking seriously about getting a new set of rims and tires for an 03.5 p5. Thinking probably 17's, but maybe it's better to stick with 16's and use the stock tires? If I were to decide on 17's, would that necessitate in the purchase of new springs? Any help appreciated! (rockon)

17's give you a much more aggressive look and fill out the wheel wells a lot better. you don't need springs if you go +1, but with the lower profile tire, the wheel gap looks a little exagerated. it's not horrible or anything, but a set of springs just make the car look much more sleek. i kept the stock 16's for winter use...although finding a set of winter tires to fit the rims will be a pain in the a$$. if you do a search in the pic section, you'll find lots of pics of cars with 17's both with lowering springs and without.

hmm... has anyone tried mounting 18" rims and tires on the stock suspension? I would think it would rub something fierce, but maybe it would just perfectly kill the wheelgap.
