a/c issue.

my ac just recently started doing this...works fine and green light is on on 1. Light goes off on 2, works on 3 and 4. and if I go back and forth between settings like 2 and 3, it will flicker on and off and you can feel the ac kicking on and off each time.

Mazda AC switches

Hi Guys,
I have the same exact issue....I took everything apart and it is simply a bad
rotary switch. They are a very common wear item...sucky part that doesn't
last. I don't think you can get the switch by itself...but I am working on finding
an alternate part that doesn't cost $750 like Royal Palm Mazda just quoted me!

BTW.....I do electronics for a living, so trust me when I say....this is most likely
the cause of all of our same issues with position 2 and 3 not working, while 1
and 4 work fine.
RX7 AC switches do the same thing sometimes....I have had at least 4 Mazda
cars in the last 15 years with the same issue.

The other possibility is that your connection on the rear of the switch is poor,
or loose....and could be an issue. Most likely the switch is bad though...

I hope that my comments are helpful....and yes....it is too hot down here in
south FL to run without AC....I just leave it on 4 most of the time now

i would love a fix for this because it's realllly annoying. my lady gets blotchy when it's too hot and sometimes it prevents us from being able to take certain drives in my car.

still not fixed? i fixed mine..
