99-00 Protege headlight removal

i want to get the sport 20 front end so bad, now someone give me a way to make money to pay for it

Still waiting on side mirrors to go on, fog lights, maybe a front lip, and some minor interior stuff. This is a daily driver.

Oh yeah, and when I get the struts, the Mazda Speed suspension (springs and sway bars) is going on, so I assume it will lower the car a bit.

Oh yeah, ebay specials. I have kids so I don't have money for any real high quality stuff. Hint, my cheap ass knock offs of Rotas of all things. I did find some chrome mirror corner bulbs too. The headlights are Nokyas, but I have no idea how they look yet. We'll see after sunset.

What the headlights, or the Nokyas. I got both on Ebay. They seem to light okay in the parking lot, but I'm going to change the corner chrome silver bulbs out to regular orange and see if they are any brighter. I know the black housings don't help, but in the grand scheme of things, if I stay attached to the car, I'll keep it. It's after all, our first brand new car.

I think IukekiniProtege had an eye on your headlights if you decide to swap. Your headlights did look really clear IIRC. Have you ever replaced them or used that headlight cleaning stuff on them?

Any of you guys have some black corners... I have black lights and the lack of blacked out corners is bugging me.

I have a sand mica... black headlights (DIY) w/ clear corners. Oh, and I tossed the amber corners long ago..

Oh, no, I thought you were asking if anyone had them so you could see how the black corners looked. My computer is very slow so I only glanced at the one page, forgetting I may have already posted pics. I got mine off ebay. There are two types of black corners for the 99-00 Protege as I know. One that have black edges and a chrome reflector, and mine which are all black. I initially used a chrome mirrored bulb, but switched to a regular amber bulb because I drive all day and wanted a brighter signal bulb. The chrome signal bulbs are okay, I just wanted to maximize brighness since I don't have corner reflectors.
