8.5" wheels- this was a bad idea...

I found this pic:

Given the explanation in the picture- I am not sure I see any reason why camber bolts couldn't be used up front. Anyone know for sure?

Edit - Actually- camber bolts REDUCE rear clearance. These aren't going to work at all, as I only have about .25" of rear clearance to the strut as it stands... s***!

Yes, because you're tipping one side of your wheel up even further.

+1 for what dub and circuit said. Spacers, camber bolts, & a fender roll will do the trick. Spacers get you clearance on the struts, and neg. camber gets you clearance from the fenders. Then a fender roll makes it daily driveable. ;)

the msp has a little more strut clearance in the back than the pro5 does. so, it wouldn't surprise me that those fit on an msp as is. you could probably fit those in the back with a 3-5mm spacer, 225/40-17's, and a fender roll. fronts would only need a fender roll.

I'm going to have to. Just tested fitment on the rears and they don't even fit. The seller who told me he had them mounted either didn't have a stock MSP setup or is a ******* liar trying to offload oversized rims to a dumb-**** like me who didn't do good enough research first. Dammit. Lesson learned.

Now that is not something I realized. I assumed the fender clearance was the same on both... Good info!

the fender clearance might be the same, but the strut clearance is difinitely less on the pro5.

45s?

no way, those wheels are MEGA wide, you'll need to run really thin tires, especially if your lowered in order to get as much turn radius as possible, like 215/35 or 205/35 if they make that size

i once had a 94 civic coupe and i had it slammed as far as my coilovers would let me go and i had 18 x 7.5 wheels, i had full tucked all my fenders and had camber kit in the front and rear, i ran either 205 or 215/35's and got nearly full turn radius

here is what it looked like on 18's with 35 series tires lowered at least 3 inches:

of course you have 8.5 inch wheels which is wide as hell and a full inch wider than my wheels were, so your def gonna need spacers lol - i just would not go with ANYTHING more than 40 series tires

You need to run a spacer in the rear. Then you'll need to camber the rear in just a bit. If you run a 215/45 you'll have to roll the fenders as well. Not much room on a P5.
