8/22/09 Farmington River Tubing Meet

Whoa whoa.... I'm completely booked in July now. Two Saturdays I'll be in Austria, Josh planned the BBQ and the only other time is July 4th. Not sure if they're open....

How about the first weekend in August? Are people free?

the weekend of the 8th I'll be in Lake Michigan. But august is good. Did I hear on the CT news tonight they pulled a few people from the river?

Well I was originally going to do 8/8 but then I read that you were gone that weekend too. I have stuff on the other two weekends in August already so I'm nearly booked myself..

hmm to early to tell but I might try and make this.

this is a real fun time. Should be good with all the water we've been getting! I did it a few years ago. Went out really early before it got too crowded. Only one other young kid was ahead of us. He missed the "pick up point" and we saw him way down the river still floating along. They had to rush a rescue team out after him! LOL

really? I think the website is way way out of date. Anyways I just got back what an awesome ride. The rapid sections were pretty damn good the water was high so not hitting a lot of rocks. Water was so refreshing. The slow sections I just closed my eyes and slowly went down the river.
