I just changed the rear turn signal bulbs to 7440 LEDs and wonder why they blink fast now, but if the hazards are on they blink at normal speed? I don't really mind, just curious.

I *think* that since the LED's have a lower power draw, the ECU thinks one of the lights are out. I know that when a light's out on many cars, the blink rate will increase as a sign.. I've read before that LED lights cause the same issue.

Do you know if it's safe? I'll be changing the front turn bulbs tomorrow with LEDs as well.

The post I read before mentioned something about cruise control. I'm not sure if it was good or bad, but they talked about LEDs affecting cruise control and it not stopping the car once brakes are applied because of the ECU not reading enough voltage. I hate to say it, but I'd search around a bit and see if you can find that thread. I may even look in a bit since I'm worried about safety now. Then again, if your car doesn't have cruise, then tell me so I can stop and just shut up. :D

You need to get a few LED 0 Ohm Equalizers, and all your problems will dissapear. :D

can you give me more insight on what exactly I have to do? more info is greatly appreciated.

All you have to do is get some 0 Ohm Equalizers, (e-bay or www.liteswap.com) and wire them in to the signals and everything will return to normal. :D

Edit: I believe you need one equilizer per LED bulb.

Can't find any info on these 0 ohm equalizers. A link to some info would be greatly appreciated!
