i have a MSP...i have really bad wheel hog, so i am going to buy a front motor mount
which one should i get, auto or man? 70 88 90?
Or weapon R damper is btter than just the front mount>?

I would go with the 70 in the front and down the road get the rear in 70 too. What is a weapon R damper?

Well, I just got 3 of the 4 mounts in. It took less than 10 minutes for the front mount, and about 45 minutes per mount for the inserts. It would have gone much smoother with air tools and the proper extensions. Also, it's a PITA to get the passenger-side insert stretched over the mount that attaches to the block. I was affraid that it would rip, but in the end I used a screwdriver to lever it.

The car is very solid now, and I launched it once with zero wheel hop. The increase in vibrations is almost non-existent. I can't wait to get the rear mount in. Hopefully that will happen next week. A+

Where'd you get them? (first)

I still dont really like the vibration on 70. So i think gonna put the filled stock front mount back.

want to sell me the 70 awr mount? I could also give you my rr front inserts.

70s all around are great. They cause enough vibration at idle to make passengers ask "what's wrong with your car," but I don't drive my car for other people.

My front stock mount is torn, so i have to fill it with 3m anyway, i hope the filled mount can reduce some vibration.

um..do u think rr insert is softer than 70?

I have 70 F & R, and I'm not thrilled with the vibration. It's limited to a narrow rpm range, but still bugs the crap out of me. When I swap clutches I'm going to partially drill the rear to somewhat resemble the design of the factory mount. My side mounts didn't appear to be torn, but after hearing that some peoples sides have torn, I'm going to give them a much closer look. I've always had a shudder when switching gears that didn't go away after the new F & R mounts and a different flywheel/clutch/PP, so it's either a torn side mount or my pilot bearing is shot.

Question to which I missed the answer anywhere on here: Do the mounts settle in over time, and translate less vibration into the car when at idle?

hellnightkid: did you replace your front mount with a filled one yet? If so, did you get less vibration?

I can't stand the amount of vibration at idle with 70 F & R. It even rattles that small plexiglass window covering the guages, not to mention the trim ring around my CD player and that little cubby underneath it. It's too much for me.

If mine broke in at all over the past month, it wasn't enough to make any difference. Don't hold your breath about that. I turned on the A/C at idle for the first time this weekend, and OMG it was terrible! I also now get a really irritating buzzy vibration coming from the area of the passenger's side airbag when on the highway. I can't wait to get this resolved.

Here is a thread that has some feedback on the 70 durometer motor mount: http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106540. My comments pertain to the front mount only, as I had the OEM rear mount at that time. I've since replaced the 70 durometer front mount with a filled front OEM mount and added the Weapon-R engine damper. I prefer the latter combination by a considerable margin. I will check back tonight and give further comments if you so wish.

what are your mounts filled with ?

Guys,
You have to install one mount at a time. This has been said countless times. One mount at a time will allow that mount to break in and after a few weeks, intall the rear. Installing both at the same time takes longer for the mounts to break in and causes a lot of vibration.
