can someone tell me if this will fit on a mazda6 v6 .

My guess is that this is for the 6i.

"Garrett turbo with cast iron manifold and wastegate" - The 3.0L V6 uses 2 exhaust manifolds ... The 6i only uses one, hence not plural. For this to work on the V6 you would need to tap the exhaust on both manifolds, or on some sort of Y-connection, or utilize a remote-mount turbo system.

Plus, it uses a T25 which is the same size as on the Mazdaspeed Protege. WAYYY too undersized for 3.0 liters. Even at a measly 6 psi (33 lbs/min), the turbo would be way out of its efficiency range:

That is a compressor map for a GT25, but I dont have time to look for one for a T25.

From what I have read, custom is the only way to go for turbos on a 6s. Supposedly a Vortech Supercharger for a 2.5L Duratec V6 can be MODIFIED to work, however, I can not offer any information further on that subject because I have never done it, nor can I remember the link.

there are no "kit's" for the v6 as of yet. my old roomate pics up his after a long 6.5 month turbo project. still working on tuning though, it's his extra car, so hasn't worried about time frame yet.

and there's a guy back east from *************** , that is making a remote mount kit up by the rear passenger wheel well. more bolt on than my roommate's, but both will be available in kit form later this year i guess.

seems like the bearings are the weak item in the block, so not much luck going over 6-7psi unless you want to tear into the engine.

haha . thats what went in my first engine was the bearings . crazy

I haven't heard anything about a Supercharger either. Though I do say Mazda was sadly missing a stock SC model this year comparing it to it's competition.

I think I'll just quict smoking and use the 200 extra a month on a bigger car payment for the new 08' models. That is if they ever come!
