Hey man, I dont know about a 93, I have a 91 and I am trying to switch that motor to a Doch, I've seen it in older 626's its a good engine, you should look it up, its the FE3

i have a 97 626 transformed from 2.0L automatic to the distributorless 98 2.0L and manual transmission. i recommend never doing this! buy a new car, engine transmission dropped right in but the wiring was a nightmare and i'm an electrical engineer.

Do a FS-DET swap, or FS-ZE w/ECU. or FS-DE from a 2000 up 626 or Protege. and then turbo it.

The KL-ZE is not worth it unless you have the ECU to go with it.

Actually it all depends. If it is an ATX, I wouldn't bother swaping any engine. If it is an I4, FS-03, then your only option would be an FS-ZE, but as far as I know no MX6/Probe have been able to swap one succesfully. However if it is a V6 then there are more options, an KL-ZE which is 200bhp, a KF-ZE which is same as the US KL-03, in terms of horsepower. ECU is NOT a problem, except maybe the FS-ZE, never dealt with one. But with anything else just slap on a Megasquirt and off you go. To swap from I4 to V6, is not really worth it, because it involves swaping master cylinders, and rear hubs.
