Hi Folks, I wonder if you might be able to guide me please. Parked my car at home (fortunately) and now it will not fire up - it turns over just fine. Spark at plug end - sparks for about 5 seconds on crank and then the sparking stops. I guess thats the ECM controlling things? I have no fuel smells and the plugs are not wet. I'm thinking that I may have a fuel pump / relay problem. I cant find the FP relay though - its not contained within the main fuse box on this year of model. I do hear a relay clicking sound from the right hand side - sounds as though its in the region of the glove compartment. Unless I can verify an output voltage from the FP relay I'm messing around a bit too much. When checking the fuel pump (thats easy as its neatly under a flap at the rear seat) I dont know what the wiring to the socket is? There are four wires (2 heavy gauge and 2 are light gauge) but from the various diagrams that I have I cant determine which two are for the fuel pump - none of the diagrams have the same wiring colours as my model of car. I have prodded around the socket and am measuring 11V between two of them but dont know if this is an incorrect / correct pair. Can anyone advise what the socket wiring pairings are?
Thanks all - Colin.
