6 Second 0-60

Any ideas on what mods it would take to take a '03 MSP to a 6 second 0-60 time? Obviously, knowing how to drive would be first. Besides that, what does everyone think would be the cheapest and safest way to get that sort of low end acceleration? Anyone know of someone with a MSP that fast?

6 seconds ain't that hard at all, I say boost controller set a 9 psi, turbo back exhaust and FMIC should easily give you 6 seconds but I'm not positive.

the Mazdaspeed's times are:

Best:
0-60.....6.5sec
1/4mile..14.9sec

normal:
0-60...6.8-6.9sec
1/4mile.15.3-15.4sec


now to make your 0-60time drop, i'd say samething as brennan said(werd)

This would almost definitely get you a 6 second 0-60 (if not much better):

• lightweight 15" wheels (like Rota Slipstreams)
• BFG drag radials (so that you can still drive on the street)
• boost controller set to max (pre- & post-flash #s are different)
• intake, downpipe, & turbo-back exhaust
• weight reduction (something that most people on here seem to be completely oblivious to)

I think a FMIC would only really benefit a 1/4 mile run. Besides, that's a lot to spend just for a 0-60.

Black Majik, as for "intake", are we talking CAI, K&N Typhoons, or what? And any ideas for lightweight 17"s?
