I say FTC with a P5/DX/LX/ES ECU. Hell, you could even probably use a MP3 ECU so you have lots of timing down low and then just pull it mid-RPM range.

You should just go ahead and install your chiller probably man. Modding the pipe is a piece of cake and there is no real reason for you to wait. I didn't have to cut any of the pipe off of mine (just to give you an idea of how close to stock the TB ended up being... even though it is miles apart... if that makes any sense).
But yeah don't wait for the manifold to install your IC... it's not like doing a clutch while the tranny is out or something.
Oh and as a small update, the car turned the 150 mile mark today, and ended up at just under 170. So far so good, but I am pretty sure that the throttle cable bracket is going to need a slight angle shift from what I have here. Hard to describe really, but with how it sits now, the cable is still putting a tiny bit of tension on there even when adjusted to barely loose. I am slightly concerned about it causing some wear on the cable over the long haul, so I am going to get that dialed in a little better.
Not a big deal at all and the wheels are still turning on the key components for the first batch of 20. All of the little minor tweaks and improvements will be implemented into all of them.

You know you could adjust the cable mount location while the car is off. I forget the exact numbers but I believe the FSM actually specifies an acceptable range of play in the throttle cable. I would just keep playing with that mount until you're in that range. It's something small like 1mm or so; I'll look it up when I get home tonight.

Even so, a little adjustability always helps as even "direct replacement" parts sometimes are different. Don't you remember my throttle cable issues with the 626 IM? It was supposed to be a direct bolt on with no problems and even though we didn't change anything my throttle cable was pulled too tightly.

So you see a little adjustability will help out those who might have some slight differences like me. Plus it may allow people to have a slightly higher idle if desired (I'd personally prefer around 1000 RPM as it's smoother). I just don't feel like roto-zipping any more throttle cable brackets!
Plus there was some old TSB about this on the 626 or 323 with the cable sticking, this happened to me when we put in the 626 IM //
and I use an AEM FIC

Hmm, I wonder then if I had the same problem as you did. My throttle would stick at like 1500 RPM so sometimes it wouldn't even back all the way off when I let off the gas. I had to drill out the throttle cable bracket a little to get it somewhat back to normal. I still think it's a little too tight because my idle has been a little jumpy ever since.
Hopefully this manifold will solve all that

ummm only one modification is required to run it and that using a 45 degree coupler instead of a 90 degree coupler on your cold pipe

as far as revised eta the cable bracket isnt a big change that will set back production. The ball is allready rolling on the floor plates and flanges the minor change to the bracket mounting isnt going to set production back
