everything else is direct replacement except for where it the cold pipe connects and i dont thinnk there going to be any thing to scre the vtcs and vics solenoids into

Yup, I am trying to make it as close to bolt on as possible, but as discussed somewhere earlier in this thread, there is no way to avoid the IC pipe change. Will be an easy change for us compared to other cars.

And yes there will be nothing to bolt the vics and vtcs stuff to... there are much cleaner spots to put that stuff. :)

almost to the finish line, congrats! good luck with the last little bit of work. cant wait to see how she performs.

fuelrail mounts arent done. After talking to rich they are going to use the front 2 fuel rail mounts instead of the rear 2.

rear and front are realitive terms, do you mean closer to the head or the ones farther from the head?

I will make sure it works with the perrin rail. Thanks for the reminder fellas. For some reason I was thinking it used all 4 like the stock one, and was going to try and get away with the top two and see what happened. I'll most likely end up going with all 4 mounts for good measure, no need to cheap out now. (alright)

I agree 100%

ok so has the mani been tested yet? did it fit right or still making adjustments?

Hasn't been tested.

We got a crap ton of rain here from the hurricane that just hit texas, so things have been slow going in my camp. I remeasured everything (on the piece from the latest pics), and the concerns that I had after picking it up got taken care of without the full extra mockup. The hardpipe coming off the fuel rail (feed side) looks like it won't fit with the TB at first, but it's just really, really tight. Same thing with the brake fluid res. Once you guys get this thing you will realize how much work it took to get this to fit, but until then you will just have to take my word for it, haha.

Kelly came up with a trick way to do the lower rail brackets, and it is different from all of the similar manifolds that I have seen for other cars. I like the idea and we are going to try it. I see no reason why it wouldn't work, and it will be different which is always cool. We are hoping tuesday-ish it will be ready for me to throw on the car. (rockon)

Sounds good, now hurry up and finish this! LOL, I'm trying to make a new coldpipe for my new FMIC and part of the planning process involves the fitment compatability with this thing. Thanks for the update, can't wait!

The line your IC pipe takes will be the same, it will just be shortened a little, with the 45* coupler on the end.

Yep, currently 90 deg, needs to be 45 deg. More than likely I'll be leaving that entire section out and using a 90 deg coupler for the time being and then getting a 45 deg coupler when you release this. At least, this is my best plan to date. Still can't wait for this to be finished. I installed my Perrin fuel rail today and it made my 626 IM look even worse :(

Why did it look worse?
I think they are an OK looking mani..if you clean them up.
But richs' is just gonna be tits!

Yeah you can clean them up decently and I'll admit mine isn't exactly very clean but it's still polished aluminum next to cast iron. I also need to do something about the wiring loom that runs right in front of the rail. I'm thinking a little wire tuck so that all runs underneath the IM. That'll have to wait for 505's manifold though - should be real nice with an unobstructive view of both pieces.

All done. All 4 rail mounts line up perfectly.

I've gotta tie up some loose ends tomorrow (getting gaskets, fittings, 45* coupler, etc), and will be installing ASAP. I did a quick polish job on it, turned out pretty sweet.
