50 inch LCD Sony Monitor!!!

seeing it in person is like seeing heaven... it is so damn awesome.

nononononoooo thats impossible... plus is LCD? noway.. its gotta be a flat screen tv, they just plugged it into a pc thats all... no nnowway..

its a 50 inch lcd monitor, its not a tv of any kind. its made for computer display. i work at that area you saw, its where i work. i work at a hospital as a pc tech. apparently we got this for patient placement information. we got more coming in too. this thing is so awesome.

i need one of those for when im watching hardcore barely legal porno

yeah thats right, i went there..... oooooh

Damn.. what's the resolution and the cost of that?

I use a 30" high res display (9 megapixel) at work and I thought that was outrageous. That's just GINORMOUS!

around $6,500! its just a monitor too, no sound, ALL video. its max resolution is 1600x1200 at 60hz, it can do widescreen resolutions depending on the video card. right now we have it at 1280x768. so fuggin pretty man!

Yah, sounds about right.

The one at work is from Sony as well. Purchased at over $10,000 for 3k by 3k resolution. Even a magnifying glass doesn't do it justice!

since when did they make monitors that do 3000x3000 + resolution? i thought the max right now was around the 2000x2000 range.... hell my 9800 pro cant do anything over 2048x1536, and its a $300 video card.

I have a Panasonic TH-50PHD5 behind me. It's kewl.

Damn, I had the wrong manufacturer.

It's the IBM T221 flat panel monitor. I'm not sure what vid card we have coupled with it.

Realize that your 9800pro (much like my 5950Ultra) is a consumer level card. Professional level display cards can run much higher. At my other job we have a few multimonitor setups using 8 and 16 screens which are run as one large resolution monitor off multiple machines.

For consumers though, I think the closest you can get is the Matrox Parhelia with the triple head setup.

thats because it si ATI man, Im in the same boat with the 9800pro right now, trying to steal back my FX 5600 from my brother but it is harder now that we have a country seperating us instead of a half hour drive.

He is currently on a 23" apple flat panel. and 23 looks huge to me, as you can tell with your buddy playing CS 50" is actually a little too big for online gaming because the edges of the screen will get distorted, plus your talking about a game meant to be run at an 800x600res and pinned at 99fps.

Tell him to switch over to CoD or UT2k4 and Ill beat him down =)

lol
edit: s*** nm, Ill beat his ass in CS too, let me practice a bit. 1.5 or 1.6?

Ugh @ the Geforce FX5600. I made the mistake of trading in my ti4600 for a FX5600. Lower framerates in everything. It was horrible. My ti4600, which didn't support dx9 did a better job in everything. After a few months of putting up with the FX5600, I asked my friend to order me a FX5700 Ultra. I went into the shop, and he said - "I got your card." He then handed me the Chaintech Geforce FX5950 Ultra. I love this card.

I have an arrangement with my friend as he owns a computer store. I do my best to get him purchases from my job, and he gives me stuff at a pretty severe discount, and quite often free. He also allows me to swap hardware whenever I need to. I don't abuse this agreement, I simply appreciate it for what it is. Sometimes I will wait weeks for a part, othertimes I get stuff almost faster than I can realize I want it.

Oh, and I can't wait for UT2K4, Half Life 2, Doom III, and Quake IV.

And Duke Nukem Forever should be out just as soon as Wagner Motorsports AEM Engine Management program for the protege is available. lol.
