5 side swiped

Here is a pic of my 5 at the body shop. Its been at the shop for almost 3 weeks now. No one was hurt, but my 5 is not even 2 months old, jeez.

good thing no one was hurt, but man that sucks.

Last time we had damage to a vehicle, it was in a parking lot. Someone smashed in the rear bumper while we were eating lunch. Then left. Cost me $300 for the deductable.

Happened when I was crossing an intersection. The road that I was on, did not have a stop sign. The person who hit me had a stop sign. There was some road construction going on, so the guy claims he didn't see me. His insurance company is paying for everything. This is actually my wife's car, so she has had to drive a rental car for the last 3 weeks. It is a Chevy Cobalt and she hates it.

I have seen worse damage on a 5 and yours seems easy to fix IMO. Glad nobody was hurt. Please post repair pics when you get it back.

Bummer. At least the damage is confined to one area, but here's a tip for ya... I don't think I'd try opening the drivers side sliding door

Hey good for you noboby was hurt.

Not tryng to hijack this thread, but my GF had an accident ith my Jetta, like 3 months before the end of the renting contract lol. She was caught in a sandwich on the city rapidway. traffic was slowing down, so was she, but the truck in the back did not. So he hit her, she gained speed and hit in front, the truck in the back breaks and hit again...

Verdict? Only a couple bruses, one of the twins was in it, NOT a single mark (yay for infant cart seats). Total damages? Around 11500$...

they have to give you a comproable car. Call and change it to a HHR.

Haha, when I had my accident they gave me a Chevy Malibu. Yerk. I often wonder why Ford and GM are wondering why they loose the market share. Drive a Malibu and you instantly know it.
