4K fuel cut any gear????

Yeah, I'm all stock. The colder it is the more it fuel cuts. Is there a after market computer out there?? I'm thinking I might try a boost controller set at 6 lbs. I don't get why the wastegate does not stop it at 6 like it should.

your wastegate is shot, this is why you are fuel cutting

please replace your wastegate, a boost controller will not fix a broken wastegate...

Yeah, a boost controler limits boost going to the wastegate. You can't do anything to lower the boost by limiting the boost the wastegate sees. We all knoiw that your wastegate is shot and if it's ok it still needs to be replaced so just replace it anyways.

yup, and if the wastegate is stuck closed then a boost controller won't be able to open it up even if it's above the wastegate pressure

the boost controller is only able to close the wastegate

yeah my wastegate was messed up too I put alot of money in other things trying to fix it but it ended up being that

It was in the 50s yesterday and the car redlined just fine without changing any parts? Only happens when its cold.

hmmm....have been experiencing the same problem. Got fuel cut at 4k when the weather started to cool down. Then threw a Left bank lean code. Blew into the wastegate line and some air is getting through. boooooo...that looks not fun to replace.

Replacing the waste gate really isn't that hard. My husband went from underneath to get the old one off and the new one on while I stood from above and helf everything in place for him. (you have to stretch things a bit to get the new one in since its so taught) Took us bout 1/2 hour to do that. Good luck!

I went through replacing my waste gate and it didn't help my 4k fuel cut. It was worse in cold weather too.

Turns out it wasn't fuel cut, just needed new plugs. Who would have thought it was simple as that.

I know 45k seems a little premature, but that's what I thought about 55k. NGK V powers are like $2 a piece, so for $8, and about 10 minutes you'll know if that's the problem or not.
