mine gave a PO171 code. its all stock. does not make a difference if its warmed up or not. cuts anywhere from 3k to 4K.
ha, read the code have been working on cars for over 10 years. I'm 27 have owned 10+ turbo cars in my life and worked on all myself. This is the first time I got a warranty on a car since it's just going to be a daily driver. The dealership is being a pain in my ass. It's a Ford dealership but somehow only one guy there will work on Mazda. Grrrrr
what will happen is ill just be driving along normal and once teh boost comes on, it bucks pretty hard and goes back to normal with the boost right after after.
the car is bone stock from what i can tell. doesnt do it once warm at all. if i give it a good warm up it works perfectly. this morning i let it idle for a few minutes to clear the windshield and it didnt do it, but i was being a lot more careful about keeping out of boost.
temp was like 2 c this morning. pretty chilly i guess.
I dont think it would be the wastegate unless they dont like the cold. friend said it might be a vac leak. there is a hiss up near the TB my p5 didnt make.
what does fuel cut feel like? or running lean? imkindanew to this stuff.
bad MAF sensor..
sounds like fuel cut
take the vacuum line leading to the wastegate and use it to blow into the wastegate...if you are able to blow through it freely then your wastegate is shot, if not then it's fine
let us know the diagnosis
If it's the wastegate he'd have real high boost at the lower RPM. We need to know what the car is boosting. Anything above 9psi will be a bad wastegate on a stock car and when the weather is cold it will cause the cut at higher RPM.
Need more info on the details of what the car is doing. Go drive it Neox, we had the same issues with your car and it wasn't the wastegate. Or was it?
so i must bow down to neox...lol
