356hp? C'mon...

Alrighty, I have an EBC and an SRI. Dashhawk is giving me a reading of 356hp in 2nd, 341 in 3rd, 343 in 4th and 331 in 5th. My boost is pretty solid at 16.5 all the way through with some spikes to 19.0 when first go WOT. The car feels like it's pulling hard, but I'm having a difficult time believing this dashawk is accurate.

Does the DashHawk estimate (emphasis on estimate) brake hp? If so, those numbers may be plausible. Eg, 331 minus 20% drivetrain loss gives you 265 hp

check your settings in the DH- car weight front end size etc.

263 hp + 15 hp (intake) + 10hp (+1psi boost) = 288 bhp


uh

this is not adding up for me.

also, I don't know why it would measure more horsepower in 2nd than any other gear. seems strange. you probably peeled out and it thought you were going much faster than you actually were.

I wouldn't really believe any HP readings from the DH. The estimates won't be very accurate. At most the only thing its good for is for comparision runs (same road, same gear(s), back to back runs). That way you can compare different intakes, exhausts, boost, etc.

Mine rarely goes higher than 300HP...
I just use it for giggles...(lol2)

don't trust anything other than a dyno, and even then you can't compare it to other dynos and cars.

pick a shop, do a baseline, then do another dyno down the road to see what you've gained.

Even the cheap Escort Passport G-Timer GT-1 Vehicle Performance Computer would give you are more acurate reading so get that rather and it looks really cool.

the dh reads flywheel hp not wheel hp. so your 356 is about 300ish to the wheels. My dh is reading slightly over 400
