350z for an MSP

Im trying to trade my 03 Z for an MSP. I need to save up, plus gettin a lil tired of the Z.

A few posts back someone was reporting a rebate of up to $2500. Is that still on? It shows 1500 at Mazda's sight. One dealers discounting down to about 19500. Can I really push for 17-18k?

Also, Is a downpipe an available option for the MSP. I know from experience its cheap and effective for a WRX. By the way Im in central florida.

Thanks.

welcome to the boards! (hi)

Yes a downpipe is available...

ARE YOU CRAZY!?!?!?!? 350 for the MSP? Payment issues or family issues? Either car is nice so Im sure youll be happy...but damn you must be taking a serious hit though.

MSRP is $21,000
Invoice is $19,597

Mazda's Rebate is $1500 on the MSP and $2500 on regular protege's. Use invoice as your guide and see what you can do from there. good luck

Yes to both. And yeah Im taking a hit but actually not that bad, I can swallow it. The Z was great but what also really did it for me was a ride in my bro's Evo. Unbelievable car. Of course I cant spring for an Evo right now. But hey I'll be saving at least a hundred a month with an MSP, plus less insurance and gas. What Im really liking is the MS Rx-8 in the future.. hmmm....

How much are you selling your Z for? What trim (Base, entusaist, performance, track?) I have a Z on order scheduled for December delivery, but if you have the right trim for the right price, maybe we can make a deal.

Yea am definately interested in a trade. Ive got a Black MSP with 4100 miles in perfect condition (washed every sunday by me). Its bone stock, but i do have a brand new Injen intake in the box ready for install.

let me know...

also, where do you live?

hey aeromotive i got the dealer down to 18 grand for my msp. It just took a little work. I walked out 3 times before i finally bought my msp.. The dealers dont want you wasting their time especially if you have good credit they wont let you leave without the car..Once you get them on the ropes go for the knockout... Good luck with your purchase..Happy motoring....

Yeah, being in Florida you should be able to get a pretty good deal -- it seems there are a lot of them in Florida. But man, trading in the Z for the MSP.......that's nuts unless you're saving a truckload of money. I'd love to trade you my speed for your Z. Only 5k miles.

True Invoice for MSP is $18,748.00

I work for a large auto finance company. The true invoice on the MSP is $18,228.00 + Transport fee of $520.00 = $18748.00. The dealer gave me the car for invoice, then knocked $1500.00 off by using the rebate. So after all said and done out the door price was $18650.45 that included TT&L...:D :)

Have many of you driven the Z? I just didnt' like the way it felt. Obviously $ value doesn't add up between the two but if that didn't come into play the MSP would be my choice. Just didn't like the way it felt. (dunno) personal opinion nothing more. Coupe's are "cooler" no matter how you slice it though:)

test drove it......loved it more than an orgasm.......too small for me so I had to pass........being tall rocks until you wanna buy sports cars :)

Hey man, where in Central Florida are you? We bought my 03.5 Titanium MSP last week & I get it tomorrow. I checked all of the area dealerships + the one in Tampa & couldn't get any kind of deal. We ended up getting it in Boca Raton for $18,900 out the door. If you're serious about getting an MSP, I suggest you check out that dealer instead of the ones in Orlando.

Heh, *thinks about trade* that would be cool for a week maybe. My car is brand new...what about yours?

Heathen, what didn't you like about it? If you didn't like the Z, you'll probablly hate the RX-8 :) (Test drove both)

Well, kinda hard to explain but somehow I felt like I was driving a Ford Taurus because of the stance and responsiveness. I'm not suggesting it didn't handle well (not that I pushed either) but the feel for the road seemed so-so. Along with the ride height to window locations it just seemed akward for a coupe. Again (dunno) just a personal opinion.

there's the $1500 rebate, then tell them u don't want to pay dealer fees ($520) and tell them u don't want the theft guard ($400) for a total of $2420 off the invoice. I got my titanium on 08/07 for $17020.
