Long story lets just say that thank god noone was in front of the vehicle at the time because they probabaly would have had a heart attack.
it happened on the dyno:(

A tranny may hold up to 15 PSI for a time but 10,000 miles out of it with some real driving and wave good bye.

Everything is about longevity. If you make a kit and it can't be sustained for atleast 70,000 miles, you F-d up somewhere, fix it.

A tranny/engine rebuild is unacceptable. sure even 600 is possible but how well will the car hold up?
Many people claimed, I tuned this I desinged 1200 hp that. I could not give less of a damn. I
want to know:
How long these tuned cars actualy run for?
How saftely did they run(not about to explode if you looked at the road instead of guages)
How much maintence was required over stock
How did the car run compared to stock(shakes stutters, impossible in traffic)?

Consider this. You had a 15 PSI Protege, it either purposely hit 22 or something went wrong, either way, BOOM! This is a totaly unacceptable result. After a short time even at 15 hp running on this tranny, Boom will happen. I don't know about you but if I spend $7000 building a cars motor up and then the tranny explodes I am totaly ******!

Good luck on the monster protege5..I hope it works out!!

I'm just curious to see 20psi on a street driven 4 banger (not daily I might add). The most I have seen is 15 psi fully built with fuel management, and that was shakey while it lasted! :D Can't wait to see the out come! :D :D :D (thumb)

has anybody had their tranny cryo treated?
double syncros installed on 1-3?
tranny case strengthened?
axles cryoed?

i just want to know because i am thinking about the previous things...

just lower the piston compression....:D

I have overboosted a couple of times, and its scary.

Oh... I know... I have seen 10 sec. Hondas running high compression. 11:0. You all may not belive me but, the guys who built my motors built Ed Burgenholtz motors a couple of years back. They did a lot of testing running high compression, custom one off pistons. They ran a whole season running high compression. Not your standard 9.5:1 pistons. We ran 10.5:1 custom SRP pistons on my 18 psi SOHC supercharged Civic. We pulled low 11's out of it. It was some awesome R&D work. I'll tell you one thing.. those pistons were not cheap!! :D That's why I gave up!!!
