30K To Spend On a New Car

evo 9, but make sure you get the SSL package, which puts you over your budget but imo it's worth it for the leather interior, so much nicer, and having a sunroof is another plus. the sound part of it sucks though

my only problem with buyin a used performance car is that you can pretty much say that the car's been driven hard...right? i mean why would someone buy a sports car and drive it like a town and country? im not too into the idea of having a pre-broken in car again.

thats what makes a lexus IS300 so good, they are treated like a luxury car,(quality shows everywhere)
yet under the hood there is a inline 6 based of the 2JZ from the supra(so turbo it),Oh,and did I mention it's rear wheel drive?

what do you mean?

BTW,they make bolt on turbo, and supercharger kits for th IS.
it cost about 30K when new,but you can pick one up in flawless condition for 20-25K

BTW,the 1996 chevy impala SS is one hell of a 4 door car too.
they run around 16K,but holy s*** the are sweet.

if I was you,I would consider the IS,or getting something old and classic.belair?old merc(leadsled)?

new Dodge Charger??

my next car will be one of

1.Acura TL
2.Infiniti G35x
3.BMW 3 series awd
4.Legacy GT
5.Volvo s40 awd t5
6.Audi a4

With 30K, I would get a Saab 9-3. Big for your traveling and sporty with the FI 2.0L. You can get your 6-speed ,too.

my $0.02

another thing to check out, if your traveling has a lot of gear, the back seat of the evo, sti, MS6, and i think the legacy doesn't fold down. in the evo there is space to cut a ski pass through (i'm waiting to be able to afford an upholestry shop to do it), but they all have metal bracing there so that's about all you can get out of any of them

I would definitely get a G35 Coupe. Such a beautiful car, a lot of class, and a lot of power. Luxury AND sports/power is such a great combination.

Just to be original

Lexus IS300 SportCross Wagon

hey thanks for all the replies. to answer a few questions. this 30k is in cash, to be handed over to whomever i get the car from. i dont already have a 'fun' car, just my protege, gets me here and there
you're f*cking crazy (getout)

in reply to the post above me, lol. i know pros can be modded to hell and back, but mines not, hence it being a normal 4 door ecno sedan to me.

back on topic : ive decided id like to go more down the luxury/classy line of things...the legacy doesnt sound too bad, ill have to look into that tonight. thing is one of the girls i work with has a huge hookup @ the mazda dealer down here...so im gonna go test drive an ms6 tomorrow...i like all of the other ideas, who knew there were so many possibilties! haha. thanks again for all the replies, you guys are really helping me make an informed decision!

oh and btw, I dont live in Vail anymore, just recently moved down here to Orlando, Florida. So i dont have to worry bout snow anymore! (Thats what the jeep was for @ home hehe)

SUMMARY Gonna look down the "luxury but still fast as hell" line, hopefully Ill narrow in on something soon!

Thanks again
