So after the rear ms3 bumper mod, the tip was too small....cut it off and replaced her with (of all places) a tip from advance auto parts. I kept taking the tips outside to see which would fit after making fun of the bigeest ones they had...and sure enough...the one that looked right in the hole was the biggest one they had and then one I made fun of...luckily smaller than a coffee can lol. 29.99

where did you get your MS3 lower rear bumper piece? It looks good. How much did you pay for it?

You can get it for as low as 35 bucks online or it will cost you 40-60 after tax from your local dealer. If you need the part # im sure I can cough it up.

how far back did you have to cut the stock tip for the new one to fit??

Stock tip is just a tip, there is still a real exhaust pipe inside of it. The tip is probably 6-8 inches long and is held by two spot welds, one on the top and one on the bottom. All you need is a chisel (spelling) and a hammer and you can knock it off in a couple seconds, problem is theres no room to swing a hammer unless you have an air chisel, so i had to cut the tip with a dremel, pry it open so I could knock out the welds from the front...With the right tools it could have been a LOT easier than me so I wouldnt recommend the way I did it.

I took her autocrossing last sunday...she's fine. ;-) She needs some stickies to be competitive...and a driver that knows how to actually drive smooth...but..she has made a complete recovery (and got tinted, HID's in low beams and fogs and some other stuff).

Accident was scary but turned out to be a nice cushion in the savings account.
