3 weeks into

Yea, ive already spoken with a few dealers, gathered their insight, see what kind of problems they were having with any customers. Right now im just all set with this entire situation. IM going on vacation this week, my car is at the dealer, and hopefully when i get back theyll have some sort of a resolution and answer.

My dealer's service dept flat out sucks. Resources are spread too thin, its a mega Ford - Volvo - Lincoln - Mazda dealer and their just isnt any devotion and/or skilled Mazda technicians there. Add to that, they are coming to the point where they are just giving up on working on this car, and are starting to care less, so its a lose lose situation. I will either get a new one, or not get a Mazda at all. Well see. Ill keep u guys posted.

Unfortunately it really does sound like your dealers service department is your biggest problem. Like we discussed in another thread, alot of the US dealers aren't dedicated Mazda dealers and the Mazda product seems to be their weakest link as far as sales. I have the fortune of having a local dealer with 3 techs that have been there 25+ years and know the Mazda product inside out and upside down. With them mentoring the younger techs there should be good service here for many years to come. I wish there was something I could do to help, but my connections don't reach south of the border.

Yo Mike!
Since you are only 3 1/2 hours (3 if your drive a CX-7)lol away from Troy/Albany, why not come by after your holiday and we can meet at my Mazda Speed shop. Have lunch, do guy stuff, etc.
I have nothing but praise for the crew at the place that I bought my CX-7 from.

email me if that makes any sense.

Our CX-7 has almoast 18K miles and is perfect.

Just because you happen to get a 'lemon' as it seems, there are thousands out there that are perfect.
If you love the car, make them replace your CX with another.

i realize that we're all suppsed to be mazda fanbois and whatnot, but the acura is a pretty nice vehicle itself. and i don't see anything wrong with someone relating their experience, good or bad, here. if you take it personally, too bad for you.

it seems that manufacturers can't win: if they recall vehicles, "there must be a lot of problems." if they don'trecall vehicles, "they must be ignoring all the problems." each manufacturer manages its recall program differently. making a quality judgment based on the number of recalls is worse than pointless; it's misleading and inaccurate.

i'd try a new dealer, mikey. the dedicated mazda dealership i go to has always done good work, even if their hours aren't the most convenient. good luck getting it resolved.

A rep has been down looking at my vehicle while ive been away on vacation. They want to do another FUEL PUMP, AGAIn, before my car has been termed a lemon or what have you. Ive been talking with some more people, a Service Manager of Acura and some other techs at Mazda, all are now dumbfounded as to why they are doing the fuel pump again (not because they are troubleshooting, but because they are avoiding the engine) My car is shot, this will prob carry thru to when the 08 comes out, if not, ill be getting the Acura.

My dealers service got in over their head, they are paying the price, and i guess the big shots laid it on them. Frankly, ive stopped caring, ill be taken care of, and whatever happens, happens. I dont have time for this anymore.

Have you been in touch with your attorney general's office? That may help to speed the process...
