2nd gen weight?

anyone have any specs on how much the 2nd gen ES weighs?

edmunds says 2375 for a '95 ES, but ~2570 for a '96.

????

at 2375 to start, it could be an awesome STS car (maybe a civic-killer). at 2570, not so much.

2375 for an ES does seem like a mistake. I know that 1996 DX is 2432 lbs, so it does make sense for the ES to 2570 lbs. 1997 LX is 2498 lbs. However, there are many discrepancies on the internet. I just found out on consumer guide that 1995 Protege is 2385 lbs, however, it was not specified for either DX/LX or ES. Best way, is try to find a 1995 owners manual. That should tell you all you are looking for. Also, try this website below.

thanks. i think the 2385 is for a DX/LX...edmunds sometimes just copies the weights over for a whole model line.

thanks for the link, but that was the first place i looked.

guess i'll stick to building my 3rd gen.
