i say a day in which will no conflict with a person of such stature and looks of me. lol jk.. lol....... any weekend in NOV works.
I apologize to everyone here. 
Due to new problems with my ever-troublesome Mazda6, I have to withdraw from taking the lead in organizing this meet. Along with my many other problems I have had and am having with my 6, there is now a rust problem around all of the doors that is turning out to be quite common with these cars built at the Auto Alliance plant in Michigan. Further inspection reveals very poorly applied paint (you can see through it in most areas) and sealant at all seams in the doors and trunk, resulting in rusting of the sheetmetal and bubbling and flaking of the paint.
Unfortunately, I will be looking into hiring a lemon law attorney and battling Mazda along with many other 6 owners that have been experiencing many problems with their cars, especially this rust. I have owned the car for a little over two months and it has been into the dealership three times for a combined total of 13 days! It is going in again with about five pages worth of problems, some new and some still occuring.
I have noticed that there are many enthusiastic Protege owners here and I doubt you will have any trouble setting up a meet for November. When I can, I will work behind the scenes with some other members here to set up a huge meet for next year. Again, I apologize for having to pull out. I will continue to check here periodically and will definitely attend a meet that is set up.

Sorry to hear that Jerry, I was hoping you'd be at the meet. How about we rename it Jerry's 2nd annual California Protege meet
