245/50/17?? will they fit??

On a P5 2002, I have 215/45-17 with 48mm offset.

I had to roll the back fenders to avoid rubbing.

The setup is Tokico Illuminas with Eibach springs (dropped 1.5 inches)

Has anybody had 215/50/17 tires on their MSP? I need to know if they fit!

I'm getting Summer tires soon and I would like to know. The tire calculator info on the first page looks pretty good!

If you think it's just a kit car you really ought to take a look at the website. This is an amazing car. It has it's own specially designed tube frame, inboard-mounted front coilovers w/ audi tt lower control arms and spindles. Uses an Accord V6. But the car only weighs 1970 lbs. And the list of options is impressive. Check it out. I understand they are even working on a 4 wheel steering option.

For a summer tire I don't know why would would want to go higher. The whole point of a performance tire is to lower you stance and a thiner sidewall to prevent flexing. I don't see why they wouldn't fit as long you have a good offset for your rims. But I can't be sure since I have never tried it.

215/50/ZR17 Firestone Firenza SZ-50 (Used 60% tread remaining) installed on factory RacingHarts. Pure heaven. It looks like I lowered the car a 1/2 inch or more because the tire is slightly larger than stock. If I had more tread, the strut "spring base" would hit the front tires near the top. I have about 1/8 inch of clearance above ther tread near the strut. They spin about 100 revs per mile less than the stock tires too.
