The specs say 8.0-9.0 rim width for a 235/40 tire, but I wanted the extra width. The cheapest option by far would be to get the 215/45 stock tire size however.

Here are my options and costs mounted and balance out the door:
235/40 = $676.46
225/40 = $657.46
215/45 = $604.16

This would be replacing my stock RE050A tires and I'm going to replace them with Continental ExtremeContact DWS. I was hoping to go a little wider since I'd be losing some traction with the new tires... Would I notice much of a difference going from the Summers tires to All Seasons?

I ended with the 235s and they fit great. I like the new tires better than the stock Bridgestones.
