Can someone please show me in a photo where the stock daytime running lights are located on the 2016 touring?

According to the spec list the touring comes standard with drl's but I have no lights on. Do I have to turn them on manually? All my other vehicles have been on all the time no choice to shut off or turn on.

Just to clarify I do not have the tech pack. But even without it, there's supposed to be drl's just not led ones.

Double check that you put it in drive and/or release the emergency brake. Hope that helps find them.

Or your DRL feature got turned off for some reason by dealer. DRLs can be programmed by dealer with default to be active or inactive. Your high-beam is a dual filament 55/15W H15 bulb that's where your DRLs located. DRLs use 15W filament of the H15 bulb.

I believe the DRLs only come when the car is Drive. Ask someone to look as you shift into and out of Drive.

Yep, even if you put the car in drive from a stand-still, the DRLs are off. You literally need to move the car a bit before they'll kick on. You can easily test this at a red light by turning the lights all the way on, then off. The DRLs will stay off until you drive off. (look at the reflection in the car in front of you)

Not true, for the DRL's to be on the car needs to 1) NOT be in Park and 2) NOT have the handbrake on. See the picture below I took of my '16 CX-5. The DRL's are on, the car is running, but the parking brake is off, and the car is in neutral.

Thank you everyone. I can confirm that the only way they come on is by the car physically moving.

I'm editing a particularly snarky response of mine to concede that I didn't take into account the possibility that the touring with non-tech package DRL's activate differently that those included in the Tech Package (LED DRL's). I missed the "touring" only trim level in the initial post.

That must be some attempt to save energy with the incandescent drl's.
