20psi D'oh!

with the money you've spent, it seems like an EBC is a must to help protect your motor!! I know that when i hit 11 psi because of my bad wga, it was amazing, can't even imagine 20 psi with all the mods you've got.
i here that, i hit 11psi when i put my manual boost controller on and
i backed it down afraid of burning the rings up . 15psi would be enough to spank the mustang that bairly got away. (pissed)

Im running high boost of 14 psi and low of 10-11psi with al supporting mods can i upgrade the turbo cause the stock one screaches when i run Wot at 10psi.

yashooa - How long have you been running the j&s?
About 3 weeks. I ran the car at 12-15 PSI (mostly around 13PSI) for 100,000 miles or so and then the diff broke. I had an Injen, a 2.5 catless MAM mid-pipe, and a Tom's Motorsports 2.5'' catback.
After the diff blew I put in a Perrin FMIC, GHL 3'' turbo back exhaust, an MPI, upgraded turbo and the J&S along with some other stuff.
I figured it was worth spending a bit more to get some protection.

Make sure your wastegate actuator is functioning properly.
I have the ATP turbo replacement acuator but it did set for 3 months while the car was apart. So I am going to get a vacuum pump and see if the acuator holds like it should.

where did you get your J&S from, and how was the install. I am thinking about picking one up, but im not sure how it will work with a unichip

Remember if you do get the Nick upgrade that 14PSI with the new internals is not the same as 14PSI with the stock turbo.
You can upgrade anytime you want it's your car :)
Nick not only upgrades the turbo he will port, polish, and ceramic coat your manifold and S-pipe to.

The J&S should work well with any system. Turfburn and his brother run them with Microtechs. I know some other people were running them with Haltechs to.
P.M. Moeed about the install. It looked fairly simple. I think it was two wires and a ground.

thank you my nubian brother (first) glad to see you are finally back up and running.

I noticed the pic of your car in the photo/video section. Very sleeperish of you

Yes, it feels like a big turbo. Not that I have much experience with a big turbo but this one you actually hear spool up clearly and feel the boost kick in. And i'm only at stock boost.
Definitely a good way to spend money!

How much does the upgrade cost?
Which one to go with? GT28RS or GT28 turbo?
whats the best tubular manifold to go with?

If you're looking to upgrade, I have a gt28r for sale. Check my sig...
The nick upgrade is also pretty nice so I've heard.

how the hell do you guys get to 20 psi w/out fuel cut. i cant pull to redline at 10psi without fuel cutting. and its not even on a cool day. i cant even imagine how bad its gonna be now that its getting colder n colder these days.

I have an MPI/turbo module installed no speed limiter and no more fuel cut.
I never hit fuel cut without my MPI provided that it was warm outside I did not go over 15PSI. When it was cold I would hit it but it had to be in the 50's or lower.
I did not have an upgraded IC either if I did I would be willing to bet I would have hit the cut more often.
