Yes the reaction to the new 2026 CX-5 has been less than ideal but for those of you who actually like it and don’t mind the controls, engine etc…Who is actually purchasing or planning to purchase one?

Let us know, are you looking for in stock, ordering one or waiting for the hybrid version? What color, trim level, options and accessories?

Update…Mazda USA is posting on the “socials” that the 2026 CX-5 “has arrived” and to check with your local Dealers for availability…

Local (SW) market near me doesn't seem to have any on lots with at least a few dealers I checked.

100+ in transit ones are listed though. May be very soon. Out of curiosity, I checked some...The top trim is at 42k :(

At my local dealer, as of now, there are zero CX-5 cars in stock, 2026 model. 2025 model still in stock, 22 cars. None turbo.

no turbo no dice. I am considering trading my 2023 cx5 turbo on a new 2025 CX5 turbo tho just because I like the 2023 so well. I figure that would give me two extra good years.....altho when I think about it probably a waste of money lol.

I was thinking the same but only the parking sensors and 360cam and 12-13k usd out of my pocket :) will wait an year or two see which direction things go. CX50 may be option.

CX-50 looks to me like Rav4 and Cx-5 had a baby and named it CX-50.

I don't need a turbo, but that touchscreen is a massive deal breaker for me.
While I appreciate the nuances of the touch screen/dial control controversy, keep in mind that pretty much everything printed to date about this change says that Mazda has done an exemplary job of creating this interface.

I'm not in the market for a new vehicle but for those who are, if the voice command works well that could alleviate the problem. Like "Hey Google set the temperature to 72°". My neighbor's wife recently got a Volvo XC 40 with the Google voice command and he said it works like a charm (he has a Tesla Model 3).

Were I in the market for a CX-5 I likely would not go for it. I like the climate control buttons and the controller. Mazda could have done the same infotainment, kept the climate control buttons and ditched the controller. Love how my CX-70 does it.

Yeah. it works exactly as any other google android automotive OS which almost all car brands are using or switching to nowadays.
Until the Screen dies ...:) hope it doesnt happen.

Nevertheless I think it will sell well. There is certain demographics that love the new tech and will buy and love the new CX5.

May want to check how much of the voice command is subscription based. I know when I picked my 25 up the salesman said once he mentioned "subscription after first year", people walked.

good point. I think google voice requires internet ..so as long as someone pays for the car internet its good.
Question is what happens after the 3rd year and which voice service may be local vs always internet based.
