2017 CX-5 2.0L Dynamic AT high fuel consumption?

Hi Mazda fam!

I recently (finally!) became a proud 3-weeks owner of a 2017 CX-5 Dynamic AT.:)

The car is in great shape with a FSH. Though I am a little worried that I'm getting 10L/100km city driving. I don't drive much as I'm working from home and only do short trips of about 9km round trip once or twice a week. The traffic is unrushed, with stops often. Roads are good and dry. I've read that generally owners get around 8L/100km city driving. One of the reasons why I bought the CX-5 over any other SUV was the supposed good fuel econ.

Legit or paranoid?

Also, does driving an AT in manual mode help with fuel efficiency?
No, it doesn't. My quess is it's AWD and to expect over 29 mpg doing the kind of driving you're doing is unrealistic. You're pretty much in the ball park where you are as those aren't ideal conditions. If you were doing freeway driving, you could expect 30+ mpg. BTW; what is FSH?
