Does anyone know if there is a Metra or other equivalent available on Amazon rear speaker adapter/bracket?

This is all I can find searching the forums.

I need them for some CDT CL-6EXs I'm having installed.

Thanks.

Edit* I just found a post mentioning Metra 82-8145C, but I cannot find confirmation.

Check out this very helpful post by RLCarrington:

"The rear doors are equally easy to access (just purchase some replacement panel/trim connectors, as you will probably break at least one as I did), but the Scosche speaker adapter ring Crutchfield provided requires drilling new holes in the door as the Bose speaker mount holes don't line up. I didn't want to do that, so I figured out that the adapter will line up with one of the existing Bose mount holes, and then two other holes that are unused but already drilled in the door. I had to improvise using hollow wall mounts (!) to hold the rear door speaker in those two holes, but I have on order the matching grommet/screw mounts used for the Bose speaker and will replace those so the OEM bolts can be used in all the mount points for the new speaker. I couldn't get the existing grommets removed."

And a couple of threads you just have to dig them through:

My thoughts are given what I have seen as an installer over 8 years its one of the following (btw I replied on those threads on this previously) Metra carries a few adapters, they all start with 82-XXXX. Metra has listed a few that I think would work. It is a 3-Hole pattern, just not sure the spacing

82-7500 - Listed for Mazda/Nissan. The newer Mazdas use Nissan radio harnesses. This would be my best guess

82-6600 - A possibility
82-3412 - A possibility
82-8148 - A possibility (Toyota is a JP car maker so sometimes you get lucky)
82-7400 - Another Nissan one you may get lucky with
Could also try the Scosche SAGMEQ656, they are a bit more flexbile mounting hole wise.
Could also try http://www.car-speaker-adapters.com/items.php?id=SAK112 (customer service is sometimes not very good)

These would be my suggestions. I would say take your speaker to a local car shop warehouse that carries Metra speaker adapters and see what you can find.

Doubtful they make a speaker harness adapter for it. I would be curious to try the

Those CDT CL-6EXs look nice and get great reviews.
I do have templates already, let me know if I can help in any way. I'll be glad to make some adapters if you supply materials or provide some templates.

How could I forget to mention your magnificent work of door speaker ring adapters in Speaker Mount construction - 2016 CX-5 Sport! I can't make those even with tools available!

Do you happen to know the Bose speaker connectors are the same as your non-Bose OEM speaker connectors by looking the picture shown above? I'd like to replace Bose dash speakers with DB351's, but would prefer not to cut wires. Did you cut the wires or desolder the connectors from OEM speakers and re-use them? Like silvercoat said, there isn't a speaker harness adapter available for our speakers yet, at least for Bose.

I went for desoldering the original connectors when I fitted JBL GTO329s. Really not that difficult of a job, just make sure you've got a flat ratchet screwdriver for removing the stock speakers! It's definitely worth the effort.

Yeah, I know I can desolder the Bose connectors and reuse them. But I prefer to get speaker wire adapter without dismantling the Bose speakers (don't have enough confidence to do a good job on desoldering). BTW, good looking JBL speakers! And I saw people soldered the Bose speaker white connector directly onto the aftermarket speaker spade terminals and they fit perfectly!

I thought about moving and re-soldering the connectors to the new mounts on mine, but having no aversion to properly spliced and soldered wires, I did that. There is a likelihood that they will never be seen again.

You will RARELY fins harnesses that fit factory "tweeters". This may be due to trim options varying so much or Metra/Scosche just not having the time or effort. I was speaking of the door speakers, BOSE or Non-BOSE for the VW style ones. If anyone can give a shot up close of those connectors I would be interested.

That being said I would be curious to try the Metra 72-7901 for the dash speakers.

Or even the 72-7400,72-4530. Hard to tell without close up pics.

I swear so if I get my CX-5 this year I will fill out this list. You guys will get one hell of a detailed build log from me.....
